Ahoy-hoy!!
I'll try to keep it short as I have missed alot of bloggin'. So far in 2009,
- As most of you already know, our home caught fire January 20, (a day before my birthday). My kids saved the house and the dogs. We recently fired the home improvement company for draggin' their ass. Still no work done on our house and we hired another company to take over the job. They start next week.
- Our Very Good Friends, were home invaded at gun point a week ago, at night. No one hurt. Crackheads were looking for drugs or money. My friend had neither. 4 punks rushed their 16 year old son when a knock came at the door. Pointed a gun at him. He didn't resist. They snatched 2 brand new xmas gift laptops.........assholes. This is why I have a big viscious dog 24/7, a Police linked alarm, and a sawed-off 9 iron...beeaatch! After my dogs tenderize their asses, I get to hit a few "balls" around in my basement before the cops arrive, Pulp Fiction style.
- Sunday Night karoake at Monaghans was IIIIINNNNSSSAAANNNEEE!!!! The line-up to get in went out the door and around the corner. My favorite part of the night was when Brendon & friends led Bohemian Rhapsody and I asked everyone to stand with their drinks and sing along. Good times.
- Ate at Monaghans on Family day......the best damn wings in Oakville
- Karaoke contest coming soon to ARNOLDS. I will not be a judge. I will organize and plot it out. I am devising a way where the audience will decide who goes to "Hollywood" (aka the final round of the big show). Then have 3 judges score points for each contestant in 3 or 4 categories, including audience applause volume.
- Congratulations to my sister. She entered a local Karoake competition. According to spectators, the contest was rolling along smoothly for weeks until they let in a professional vocal teacher (what the f***). Apparently, on the final day the judges were an 80's cover band that indulged in their "free beverage" perk all night. Apparently, their final decisions were skewed. Vocal teacher came first. The guy that was favored to win first place, came 2nd. Kathy did not expect to win but placed 3rd overall. I think 3rd out of 20 contestants is fricken amazing. Good on you, sista.
- New Karaoke Songs, are going to be listed here as of Thursday morning.
